- Advertisements must include the license number for the licensee responsible for its content.
- Prop 65 warning – California now requires long-form warnings specific to the various types of cannabis products. These warnings need to be at least 6-point font and include the following language:
- A symbol consisting of a black exclamation point in a yellow equilateral triangle with a bold black outline. The symbol shall be placed to the left of the text of the warning, in a size no smaller than the height of the word “WARNING“. ( WARNING: [APPLICABLE PRODUCT LANGUAGE])
- Smokeables (flower, prerolls [infused and regular]– “Smoking cannabis increases your cancer risk and during pregnancy exposes your child to delta-9-THC and other chemicals that can affect your child’s birthweight, behavior, and learning ability. For more information go to www.P65Warnings.ca.gov/cannabis.”
- Edibles / ingestibles – “Consuming this product during pregnancy exposes your child to delta-9-THC, which can affect your child’s behavior and learning ability. For more information go to www.P65Warnings.ca.gov/cannabis.”
- Vapable or dabbable products (concentrates and vapes) – “Vaping or dabbing this product during pregnancy exposes your child to delta-9THC, which can affect your child’s behavior and learning ability. For more information go to www.P65Warnings.ca.gov/cannabis.”

- “WARNING: Overconsumption of Marijuana Concentrate may lead to Psychotic symptoms and/or Psychotic disorder, Mental Health Symptoms/Problems, Cannabis Hyperemesis (CHS), and Cannabis use disorder/dependence, including physical and psychological dependence.”
Florida –
No specific warning language required.
Massachusetts–
- “Please Consume Responsibly. This product has not been analyzed or approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). There is limited information on the side effects of using this product, and there may be associated health risks. Marijuana use during pregnancy and breast-feeding may pose potential harms. It is against the law to drive or operate machinery when under the influence of this product. KEEP THIS PRODUCT AWAY FROM CHILDREN. There may be health risks associated with consumption of this product. Marijuana can impair concentration, coordination, and judgment. The impairment effects of Edibles may be delayed by two hours or more. In case of accidental ingestion, contact poison control hotline 1-800-222-1222 or 9-1-1. This product may be illegal outside of MA. For use only by adults 21 years of age or older. Keep out of the reach of children. Marijuana should not be used by women who are pregnant or breastfeeding.”
Michigan –

Nevada –

New Jersey –

New York –

In case of accidental ingestion or overconsumption, contact the Poison Center hotline 1-800-222-1222 or call 9-1-1. Please consume responsibly. Cannabis can impair concentration and coordination. Do not operate a vehicle or machinery under the influence of cannabis. Cannabis is not recommended for use by persons who are pregnant or nursing.”

- The warnings must be printed on a bright yellow text box with or without a border around them. All required information must be in at least 6-point font, in Times New Roman, Arial, Calibri, or Helvetica font.
Washington –
- “This product has intoxicating effects and may be habit forming. Cannabis can impair concentration, coordination, and judgment. Do not operate a vehicle or machinery under the influence of this drug. There may be health risks associated with consumption of this product. For use only by adults twenty-one and older. Keep out of the reach of children.
