Imagine being so talented that you’ve achieved EGOT status (meaning you’ve won an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony – all four of the major performing arts awards in the U.S.) and have the ability to
make The View worth watching (before your first cup of coffee). Welcome to the world of Whoopi
Goldberg! Where life is a comedy, an attitude, and a statement.

Whoopi Goldberg is an award-winning actress, comedian, author, and activist renowned for her versatility and trailblazing career. She rose to prominence with her Academy Award-winning performance in Ghost and went on to star in various movies, TV shows, and musicals. Beyond her work in film and television, Goldberg is a dedicated advocate for social justice and a co-host of The View, where her insightful commentary continues to influence cultural and political conversations. Her talent, wit, and advocacy make her an iconic figure in entertainment and beyond.

Whoopi has been a vocal advocate for cannabis for over a decade. She began publicly supporting its medicinal use in the early 2010s by discussing how it helped her manage her glaucoma-related pain and stress. Since that time, she has openly supported cannabis use, particularly for managing pain and discomfort associated with menstruation, glaucoma, and other “invisible” conditions.

“Art and life are subjective. Not everybody’s gonna dig what I dig, but I reserve the right to dig it.”

In 2016, she co-founded Whoopi & Maya, a cannabis company that produced products including tinctures, edibles, and topical creams that were specifically designed to help with menstrual pain. Although the company closed in 2020, Whoopi continues to speak out about the benefits of cannabis. She champions the need for greater awareness and acceptance of its medicinal uses, crowning her a cannabis queen and binske Legendary Toker. Want more Whoopi?
