Each year, as 420 approaches, I eagerly begin planning my annual 420 party. This year marked the fourth iteration of this beloved gathering, where I aim to create a haven in my West LA backyard where friends can enjoy the festivities in comfort.
My backyard provides a lush setting, ample space to bask in the sun, a cozy fire pit and smoking nook, a convenient built-in bar with a fridge to keep bubbly beverages chilled, and a veranda and table for various creative activities. A quick stop at Erba Pico to pick up the essentials, and I’m ready to start planning!
To kick off the festivities, I meticulously curate the snack lineup. A successful 420 party demands snacks that cater to every palate. I started by baking a batch of “slutty brownies,” a decadent treat featuring layers of chocolate chip cookies, Oreos, and brownies that never fail to delight. Alongside the brownies, I offered fresh salsa and guacamole from Poquito Mas, an assortment of fresh fruits and vegetables, popcorn, and Trader Joe’s truffle “fancy cheese crunchies” to round out the spread.
In addition to good food, no celebration is complete without the perfect soundtrack. Allow me to introduce you to my carefully curated 420 playlist.
For those seeking relaxation, I arranged towels and pillows on the grass under the palm fronds, creating a cozy spot for a siesta in the sun. Additionally, we had garden coloring books and acrylic paint pens for those looking to unwind and express their creativity.
Throughout the day, everyone indulged in cannabis in their preferred manner, taking multiple breaks to enjoy binske products between snacking, coloring, and lounging on that beautiful 72-degree spring day.
